\nU\u017eupis is een wat eigenaardige wijk van Vilnius. Na de onafhankelijkheid namen bohemiens en aanverwante types bezit van deze verpauperde buurt, riepen daar hun eigen republiek uit, bedachten een constitutie (zie foto) en het gerucht gaat dat\u00a0U\u017eupis zelfs over een eigen leger (!) van twaalf man beschikt.
