Hij en John Fryer waren de enige vaste leden, maar ze namen hun werk op met veel andere artiesten die onder contract stonden bij 4AD zoals Elizabeth Fraser van Cocteau Twins, Lisa Gerard van Dead Can Dance en vele anderen. Tussen 1983 en 1991 verschenen er drie CD\u2032s: \u2018It\u2019ll End In Tears, \u2018Filigree &amp; Shadow\u2019 en \u2018Blood\u2019. Model: Pallas Citroen<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Onder de paraplu van This Mortal Coil houden zich onder anderen Howard Devoto, Colourbox, Xmal Deutschland, Dead Can Dance en Cocteau Twins schuil. De drie legendarische albums bestaan voor een belangrijk deel uit interpretaties van songs uit de jaren 70, van artiesten als Alex Chilton, Chris Bell, Roy Harper en Gene Clark.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weeshuis van de hits<\/strong><br \/>\nHet project van Watts-Russel en Fryer is in Nederland vooral bekend geworden door \u00b4Song To The Siren\u00b4 van \u2032It&#8217;ll End in Tears\u2032, doordat diskjockey Peter van Bruggen het vaak draaide op de radio in het programma \u00b4Weeshuis van de hits\u00b4. De song wordt uitgevoerd door Elizabeth Fraser (zang) en Robin Guthrie (elektronica) van de Cocteau Twins.
