Om aandacht te vragen voor de problemen die worden veroorzaakt door overbevolking &#8216;vieren&#8217; we sinds 1989 op 11 juli <\/strong><em><strong>World Population Day<\/strong><\/em><strong>. Inmiddels staat de teller al op bijna 8 miljard. Azi\u00eb is het werelddeel met verreweg de meeste mensen. De Aziatische bevolking piekt naar verwachting in 2070. Dan wonen alleen daar al 5,27 miljard mensen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoe druk het hier ook lijkt; Europa blijft daar ver bij achter. De Europese bevolkingspiek wordt rond 2060 verwacht, maar met 689 miljoen Europese bewoners blijft ons werelddeel ver achter bij al dat Aziatisch demografische geweld.
