Hoe komt het eigenlijk dat dat zand uit de Afrikaanse woestijn er voor zorgt, dat we weer naar de autowasstraat moeten? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Onder normale omstandigheden blijft al dat zand lekker liggen waar het ligt, maar af en toe steekt er een storm op. Als dit het geval is,&nbsp;kan het stof en zand tot wel kilometers hoog in de lucht terecht komen. Of het zand ook Nederland bereikt, ligt vervolgens aan hoe de wind staat. Dan is het roodbruine, fijne zand te zien op tuinmeubilair, de auto of op ramen. Ook als het niet regent, is het saharazand zichtbaar.
